WINNIPEG — Charges have been laid against the owner of Your Medical Cannabis Headquarters after Tuesday’s raid on the business. Glenn Price was arrested Tuesday morning when police showed up at his Main Street shop with a search warrant. Witnesses tell Global News Price’s wife and a customer were also taken into custody.

Police say members of the Marijuana Grow Operation Unit, Tactical Support team and the Street Crime unit executed two search warrants before determining Price was operating an illegal drug trafficking business.
Officers seized two pounds of marijuana and drug paraphernalia from the store, and two ounces from a residence.
Price has since been released.
The 54-year-old temporarily closed his store last month, after officers warned him to stop selling marijuana or he’d be arrested. He re-opened a few days later. He insists he’s preventing users of medical marijuana from buying off the streets.

Price says he sells only to customers with documents for medical marijuana. Winnipeg Police say the law dictates only licensed producers approved by Health Canada can produce and provide the drug.
