TORONTO – A Newmarket man missing for more than a week has been found dead in a forested area near Dufferin Street and Davis Drive.
Police made the discovery Thursday afternoon just before 2 p.m. and don’t consider the death suspicious.
Jonathan Adams, 26, hadn’t been in contact with family or friends since June 28.
York Regional Police said Adams’ vehicle was found in the area of Bathurst St. and Keith Ave. between Davis Drive and Mulock Drive.
Former hockey teammates of the missing Newmarket man released a video days following his disappearance asking him to get in touch with his friends and loved ones.
In a media release, police say the family has requested privacy during this difficult time.
