Vigil for woman last seen riding bike in Saskatoon

SWIFT CURRENT, Sask. – A candlelight vigil is being held for a woman who was last seen five weeks ago in Saskatoon. The vigil at Memorial Park in Swift Current tonight will include a moment of silence for Kandice Singbeil and women who go missing every year.

Singbeil was last seen riding her bike on 3rd Avenue South on May 25.

Saskatoon police have since been trying to track down security camera footage in the area from May 25 to May 27 to piece together what happened.

Police say they have some footage from downtown but are still asking for more.

Singbeil, who grew up in Swift Current, is described as Caucasian, five foot, four inches tall, 166 pounds with shoulder length brown and blonde hair and brown eyes.

She wears glasses and her lower lip is pierced.

Family and friends became concerned after not hearing from Singbeil, who is involved in a high-risk lifestyle.

The term is used by police to mean a person who is vulnerable due to substance abuse, domestic violence or criminal associations.

Anyone with information about Singbeil’s disappearance should contact police.
