Mini-crime spree in Humboldt, Sask., Carmel post office robbed

HUMBOLDT, Sask. – Mounties are looking for the suspects who went on a mini-crime spree in Saskatchewan Tuesday morning. Thieves targeted three businesses in Humboldt over a half-hour period starting at 5 a.m.

Two suspects smashed the front window of the Humboldt Liquor Store. They entered the store with large garbage cans and left with an assortment of liquor.

They took off in a white Montana mini-van with grey trim on the lower sides.

The suspects were then spotted entering the A&W where they attempted to break into the main office.

Mounties say the culprits then smashed the front glass door of the Family Pizza restaurant and three people entered the business. They grabbed the cash register and a coin box with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Two of the suspects were wearing black clothing with hoods, while the third suspect was wearing black pants and a white hoodie. The trio also had their faces covered.

There was also a break-in at the post office in Carmel. Thieves there left with a safe containing an expensive book of stamps and cash.
