EDMONTON — Two children and one adult were taken to hospital Monday after an explosion and fire at a home on the Paul First Nation.

Stony Plain/Spruce Grove RCMP say all three individuals lived in the home.

Officers say the group was returning home around 11 a.m. and heard an explosion when they entered the house. After the blast, a fire broke out.

All three people sustained minor injuries and were taken to hospital, say RCMP.

Both RCMP and the fire officials are investigating the blast. RCMP say nothing suspicious is suspected at this time.

Paul First Nation is about 30 kilometres west of Edmonton.
