MONTREAL — Quebec’s anti-corruption squad said it has conducted five raids in cities north of Montreal.

A spokesperson for the force said Tuesday’s operation was aimed at gathering evidence pertinent to an ongoing investigation.

Anne-Frederick Laurence confirmed that about 70 officers took part.

She said no arrests are expected.

Raids took place in Blainville, Laval and Terrebonne.

Authorities declined to name the exact locations, but reports are suggesting the municipal offices in Blainville, a printing shop and communications firms were targeted.
