B.C. man killed at Sumas border crossing was wanted for murder of Alberta teen

WATCH: A US border patrol agent opened fire on 20 year old Jamison Childress after he illegally entered Washington State. Now RCMP say he was wanted in connection with the murder last month of a Calgary teenager. John Hua has details.

Police say a 20-year-old man fatally shot by a U.S. Border Patrol agent near the Sumas Border crossing was one of four people wanted in connection with the murder of 18-year-old Brando Walker.

Jamison Edward Childress of Prince George was killed while attempting to sneak into the U.S. Thursday.

In a release issued by RCMP, police confirmed investigators were in the process of obtaining an arrest warrant for Childress when he was reportedly killed by U.S. Customs and Border agents who responded when a sensor was activated at the U.S./Canada border near Sumas, WA.
