Brother, sister approached by suspicious man in Saskatoon

SASKATOON – Saskatoon police are investigating another report of a suspicious individual in the Silverwood Heights neighbourhood. The latest happened during the noon hour Friday when a young girl and her younger brother were walking to school after lunch.

The girl reported being approached by an older man who had stopped his vehicle in the area of Russell Road and Wakabayashi Crescent. When the man tried to grab the boy, the girl grabbed her sibling and ran to school.

The suspect was reported leaving the area southbound on Russell Road.

He is described as Caucasian with a grey moustache. The suspect vehicle was dirty and is a white older style van with a dent in the bumper.

A similar incident was reported to police Thursday where a young girl was approached while walking home on Russell Road after school. The suspect asked her for directions and then attempted to get the girl into a vehicle.
