Prince Albert, Sask. traffic stop turns into drug bust

PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. – A traffic stop in Prince Albert early Friday morning turned into a drug bust. Police in the northern Saskatchewan city stopped a vehicle just after midnight.

Officers took a man into custody and seized 61.3 grams of meth with an estimated street value of $12,000.

A 45-year-old Buffalo Narrows man has been charged with possession of meth for the purpose of trafficking. His name has not been released.

He appeared before a justice of the peace Friday morning and will make his first court appearance on March 15 in Prince Albert provincial court.
