REGINA – Police will not be laying criminal charges in relation to the death of an infant whose body was found in the backyard of a Regina home last year.

Officers were called to a home in the 700 block of Retallack Street on November 7, 2014, and found the boy’s remains.

At the time, investigators said they identified the mother of the infant and there was no risk to public safety.

Regina Police said the Crown was consulted, and the Office of the Chief Coroner was involved in the investigation, which is now over.
