ATM pried open at southwest smash-and-grab

CALGARY – Police are searching for suspects involved in a smash-and-grab at a southwest business.

Investigators were called to the 1900 block of 37th Street S.W. around 4:30 a.m. on Friday.

When they arrived, officers found a vehicle had crashed into the side of a Instaloans store.

The suspect managed to break open an ATM, but it’s unknown if they successfully retrieved any cash.

Investigators are looking at whether or not the business had CCTV surveillance footage.

At this point police aren’t sure how many suspects were involved, and haven’t released a suspect description.
