SALMON ARM – A Kelowna semi truck driver is facing charges after a crash that involved a building. It was around 9 p.m. Monday when police received reports of alarms at the Great Canadian Oil Change building on the Trans Canada Highway in Salmon Arm.
Police say a semi truck had crashed into the building causing several thousand dollars in damage. Mounties say instead of reporting the incident, the semi driver began driving east on the highway. Police caught up to the semi a short time later and arrested the 59-year-old driver. He’s now facing charges related to failing to remain at the scene.
