WINNIPEG – A multi-vehicle crash stopped traffic through the busy Smith Street and Broadway intersection on Tuesday morning.
The 6:40 a.m. crash between a minivan and car closed Smith Street and eastbound Broadway between Smith and Donald Street until just before 8:30 a.m. One person was taken to hospital in unstable condition condition, police said.
The crash caused traffic to back up all the way up Pembina Highway to McGillivray Boulevard as traffic coming into downtown over the Midtown Bridge was rerouted east on Broadway.
Meanwhile, a fatal crash east of Dugald, Man., closed Highway 15 for five kilometres.
