The search for missing hiker Liang Jin will resume Tuesday morning, according to North Shore Rescue.
Rescue crew members say information from Jin’s cell phone has led them to believe they should continue their search, which was called off last week.
According to a North Shore Rescue Facebook post, melting snow and favourable weather will permit crews to search more of the Hanes Valley.
Crews combed through the area both on the ground and in the air since Jin went missing on Dec. 31.
Two of Jin’s friends went into the Hanes Valley on Jan. 8 to look for him, but had to be rescued by North Shore Rescue themselves.
