Wednesday December 17th on The Morning News

We’ll talk with a Dalhousie researcher from the University’s Medical School – who was part of a team that successfully tested a never-before-used combination of drugs that effectively shuts down aggressive, metabolically active breast cancers. We’ll have all the details Wednesday at 6:45am.

At 7:15am we’ll continue our Home for the Holidays segment with a look at some people who become obsessed with the holiday. We’ll introduce you to a woman who loves all things Christmas and you’ll find out the lengths she goes to, to make the season merry and bright!

We’ll meet a Nova Scotia artist at 7:45am who has transformed a portion of his Truro studio into a mini workshop for Santa! Kirk Saint and Santa will be by to tell us more about the Ultimate Childhood Experience, that offers kids a 30-minute sit down chat with Santa, a glance at the naughty and nice list, a chance to put finishing touches on some of the toys and a cookie and milk snack with him! Tune in Wednesday for this Santa exclusive on The Morning News!

We’ll have a special holiday performance from Halifax singer-songwriter Ian Sherwood at 8:15am. He’ll stop by and play the classic “Do You Hear What I hear”. He’s performing Thursday as part of a fundraiser at The Company House to try and raise money for Team Broken Earth – a mission to send physicians to Haiti in the New Year.

And we’ll wrap things up at 8:45am with designers and 31 Westgate co-owners Colin Blanchard and Kenneth McRobbie. They’ll stop by the red table to show Crystal and Jill a few of holiday decorating tips!
