Serial bank robber? Striking similarities in security footage

Is the same man responsible for a pair of bank robberies in the Okanagan this past week? Security camera footage from the two robberies, (one in Princeton last Wednesday, the second in Vernon Tuesday) show a similar suspect: a man in his late 20’s or early 30’s, dressed in all dark clothing, wearing a dark toque and sunglasses. In both robberies the suspect used a gun to rob the banking institutions.

“We are communicating with the investigators out of Princeton,” says Vernon RCMP spokesperson, Gord Molendyk. “Yes there are some similarities and we are trying to determine if in fact it could be the same individual.”

Police from either city haven’t released a name of the suspect they’re looking for.
