CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – Orion splashed down in the Pacific Ocean after a successful test flight on Friday.
Liftoff was at 7:05 a.m. from launch pad 37 at the Kennedy Space Center. Orion is the spacecraft that will eventually take humans to Mars and into deep space.
Gusts and sluggish fuel valves scrapped Thursday’s attempt but it was all systems go Friday.
