WATCH: A video of a giant panda playing in the snow at the Toronto Zoo has gone viral. In the video, the panda repeatedly toboggans or “bear-boggans” down a hill.
TORONTO – A giant panda playing in snow at the Toronto Zoo has taken the Internet by storm.
Zoo staff captured “Da Mao” on video Monday playing outside during a snowfall – the beginning of the same weather system that dumped nearly six feet of snow in Buffalo, New York.
“Our cameras caught giant panda Da Mao ‘bear-bogganing’ in his outdoor exhibit,” zoo staff said in the video’s description on YouTube. “Perhaps he’s discovered a new winter sport?”

Within hours of the video’s release, Da Mao’s tobogganing moment began appearing on television and trending on social media.
After three days, the video has been viewed more than half a million times on YouTube.
“Ok, I have to go to @TheTorontoZoo to watch the panda play in the snow,” said Alyssa Keel on Twitter.
