ABOVE: You won’t believe how close one pedestrian in China came to being hit as he walked across the street – and right into a bad traffic accident
A fortunate pedestrian narrowly escaped being crushed between two cars that collided as they tried to speed through an intersection.
The pedestrian was attempting to cross the street at an intersection in east China’s Zhejiang Province when two vehicles entered the crossroads from different sides. The two swerved to avoid a collision, but instead bumped into each other as they barreled towards the unsuspecting pedestrian.
Fortunately, the man was able to react quickly and leap out of harm’s way just in time to avoid being crushed between the two vehicles.
“Luckily, when the tractor (the truck) was going to turn over, its driver did some operation to save the truck from turning aside. If the truck turned on its side, the pedestrian may be covered over,” said Yang Hui, a traffic police officer from Anji County Traffic Police Squad.
Both vehicles were damaged in the accident, though no injuries were reported.
