Police make arrest in 2013 Edmonton nightclub homicide

EDMONTON — A 42-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing that left a 25-year-old man dead in 2013.

Police say Daryl Pierre Rivest was arrested by members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police Friday morning.

Rivest was wanted on Canada-wide warrants for first degree murder and possession of an offensive weapon. Police say the charges are linked to the death of Justin Mark Samuels, who was fatally stabbed at the former Hex Lounge in downtown Edmonton on May 15, 2013.

The EPS says Rivest will be transported back to Edmonton to face the charges.
