$300K damage in Saskatoon house fire

SASKATOON – Damage is estimated at $300,000 after a Sunday evening house fire in Saskatoon.

Fire crews went to the house at 127 Makaroff Rd. in the Dundonald neighbourhood just before 7:45 p.m. after receiving multiple 9-1-1 calls.

Arriving firefighters found the back of the house fully involved with the fire extending to the roof.

An offensive attack was started and the blaze was brought under control within 15 minutes. Crews also concentrated on protecting houses on either side.

Everyone was able to get out and no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
