Barcelona-based aviation fan Miguel Angel Ramirez, who says he regularly films planes at El Prat Airport, said the incident was “one of the worst experiences [he] ever had.”

According to the Spanish publication El Mundo, the public body responsible for airports in Spain—Spanish Airports and Air Navigation—released a statement in response to the media frenzy triggered by the video and said there was never any danger of a collision as both planes were where they should be and there was sufficient distance between the two planes to carry out a landing.

The spokesperson added neither company has filed a complaint.

The video garnered attention on social media and already has over 1.8 million views on YouTube.
