Watch: Fatal weekend in Montreal area
MONTREAL – A 17-year-old girl was murdered in a hotel on Saturday in Montreal.
At around 10:45 p.m., police responded to a 911 call about a woman in distress at Le Chablis Hotel, on the corner of Sherbrooke and Lacordaire.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers found the young woman seriously injured in the upper body.

She was rushed to hospital, where her death was confirmed, said François Collard, a spokesperson for the Montreal police.
An 18-year-old man was arrested at the scene.
This was the city’s 12th murder of the year.
