Teen in hospital after stabbing at Vernon bush party

No charges will be laid against two British Columbia police officers involved in separate crashes that resulted in civilians being seriously injured.

VERNON — A large bush party near Vernon turned violent Sunday morning.

Police aren’t releasing specific details, but confirm an altercation took place at the party in the Nobel Canyon area which resulted in a teenage boy being stabbed at around 3:30 a.m.

The teen was rushed to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

RCMP are now searching for the person responsible and are asking anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.

Police confirm alcohol or drugs may have been a contributing factor.

Between 100 – 300 people were at the party.

Police aren’t releasing the age or identity of the victim.
