SUV crashes into semi on Highway 2A

CALGARY – A portion of Highway 2A between Okotoks and High River was closed in both directions on Thursday due to a crash.

The collision happened just before 7:30 a.m. south of the Cargill Canada beef processing facility.

Officials say an SUV slammed into the back of a semi-trailer parked on the side of the road.

Emergency crews rushed the 30-year-old male driver of the SUV to hospital in Calgary by STARS Air Ambulance.
