Originally from Calgary, Alberta, Teri Fikowski graduated with honors from the Broadcast News Program at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, and earned a Communications Degree from the University of Calgary.
Fikowski ‘s career in broadcast journalism began as a reporter at 660 News in her hometown of Calgary, before moving to Lethbridge to join the Global team as a videographer, and later becoming the weekend anchor. Her strong passion to tell stories in her local and international community, led her on a six month work term with Journalists for Human Rights in Tanzania, Africa. There, she worked alongside other local reporters to build their capacity in exposing human rights violations and government corruption.
She joined the Global Regina team as a reporter/anchor in the spring of 2014. Her happy place will always be skiing a mountain in the Alberta Rockies, however catching the view of a Saskatchewan sunset is quickly becoming a close second. When she’s not chasing the news, she is seeking out new ways to engage in her local community, spending time with family, or finding any excuse to travel the globe.
