Matt Grillo came to Global News in Montreal after graduating with a journalism degree from Pennsylvania State University.
While attending school in the U.S., he was a reporter for the student newspaper and a member of the varsity swimming team.
Matt started at Global as an intern in May 2016 and has since continued on to work as a reporter and associate producer.
His first experience with live breaking news came while he was covering the verdict in Richard Henry Bain’s murder trial.
