Wednesday marks 31 years of Ukrainian independence since the fall of the Soviet Union and the Russia-Ukraine war is also nearing it’s six-month mark. As Jill Croteau reports, there will be a symbolic flag raising to pay tribute to the heroes fighting for freedom and this weekend a celebration for those who have fled from violence in their home country.
