Canada’s chief public health officer Dr. Theresa Tam said on Friday that Canadians in some regions are already starting to see stabilization of Omicron-driven COVID-19 outbreaks — and it’s possible that cases could peak “in the next days.” She added the country could see “a sharp, sharp increase” in cases before coming down “fairly fast.”
