When asked about the possibility of Canada’s health-care system becoming overwhelmed by the second wave of the novel coronavirus, Canada’s Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Theresa Tam said Monday she was “really concerned” about the country’s long-term care homes. She said health officials and health-care providers in these settings “need to do a lot better” in protecting these vulnerable populations.
