Canada’s Chief Medical Officer of Health called on health-care providers and people across the country to “test smartly” as the second wave of the novel coronavirus continues to intensify. Tam said prioritizing people with symptoms of COVID-19 or a risk of exposure is the best approach as provinces continue to grapple with rising case numbers.
