Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, director-general of the World Health Organization, said Tuesday that COVID-19 is more deadly than the seasonal flu, with about 3.4 per cent of patients dying from the virus globally compared to fewer than the 1 per cent who die from the flu.
