Traffic was backlogged on County Road 28 in Fraserville on Wednesday morning following a multi-vehicle collision just after 8 a.m.
There are unconfirmed reports a vehicle involved in the initial collision fled the scene.
It happened near the roundabout at County Road 21.
Several vehicles sustained significant damage and police say there were minor injuries reported.
Peterborough Police are investigating the incident and say one person is in custody.
