Hot air balloon lands on Kelowna street

A hot air balloon ride Tuesday morning came to an abrupt end when the winds died and the operator had no choice but to land on a residential street.

John Klempner, owner of Okanagan Ballooning, said they had no plans to end up on Dilworth Mountain, but that’s where the winds carried them.

But as the balloon crested the south side of the residential community, the winds stalled, he said.
