Town of Oliver approves nine-per-cent tax hike to brace for spike in policing costs

The Okanagan’s growing population can have its benefits. It grows the tax base and stimulates local economies, but in two local communities, a bigger population means a much bigger bill for policing and as Shelby Thom reports, that means higher taxes for local residents.
