Monument to honour Okanagan survivors of Residential Schools

The Okanagan Nation Alliance came together on Penticton Indian Band land Tuesday to unveil a monument placed at a spot where local children were taken away to Residential Schools.

The sculptures are meant to acknowledge survivors and encourage continued resilience, culture and spirituality among the Syilx people.
