They do more than just put out fires. They also respond to medical emergencies, and even rescue boaters and hikers who find themselves in trouble. There is no shortage of calls for fire crews in the Okanagan. But now they are responding to an unprecedented number of drug overdoses. Klaudia Van Emmerik went on a ride-along with the firefighters from station number two yesterday and shows us the increasing strain on their life saving efforts.
