People have been critical of efforts to manage the level of Okanagan lake to prevent the unprecedented and damaging flooding.
But earlier this spring, the provincial official who manages the lake level was asked by federal officials to hold off on releasing too much extra water.
As Shelby Thom reports, that request was made to protect fish populations.
