If you get into trouble in the water near Penticton, it’s city firefighters who will be dispatched to save you.
But first responders fear this summer– they may be ill-equipped to deal with an emergency on the water.
Their rescue boat is 30 years old and in bad shape.
As Global’s Shelby Thom reports, the local fire department is launching a new fundraising campaign called “Raise the Anchor.”
