Student for CUPE 3903 says it has staged a sit-in at York University's senate chamber and is calling for the university to cancel classes, refund students' tuition for the winter term and for the school to return to the bargaining table "without proposing concessions."

Riley Mccaie told Global News he received an emergency call from the university on Monday to come get his girlfriend.
