Staff at a school in central Edmonton were shocked and saddened Monday morning after discovering more than a dozen bikes donated for their less fortunate students had been stolen.

When officers responded to an early morning call on March 10, they found a woman in her mid-20s "who had sustained serious injuries and was wearing only a shirt," police said.
