Bombardier Patrick Labrie, a six-year veteran of the Canadian Forces based out of CFB Petawawa, died from injuries sustained while parachuting near the southern Bulgarian village of Cheshnegirovo last month.

Bombardier Patrick Labrie died after something went wrong in a training jump from a low altitude Monday night.

Military officials believe something went wrong with his parachute, but a full investigation will be conducted.
