Five provinces across central and eastern Canada continued to swelter in unseasonably hot conditions on Sunday, Environment Canada said as it extended a widespread heat warning.

Environment Canada issued a heat warning for the entire province on Monday, saying that humidex values are expected to hit the 36 degree mark in the region.
