Amid the ongoing Russian war in Ukraine, Canada has announced new sanctions targeting Moldovan oligarchs, business people and politicians due their collaboration with Moscow.

Air raid sirens blared in Kyiv on Wednesday because of balloons flying overhead while on Tuesday Moldova closed its airspace and Romania scrambled jets following sightings.
