A Vancouver branch of the Royal Canadian Legion is facing an eviction deadline from a building it helped build, but says it had a deal with the landlord to operate rent-free.

The Shalom Branch 178 was formed 75 years ago and has been active in the community since then, raising money for numerous causes and supporting veterans.
