  The highly visible Horsethief Creek wildfire in B.C.'s Columbia Valley has forced the evacuation order of at least 25 properties and placed more than 1,000 on evacuation alert.

• Highly visible wildfire breaks out near Invermere and Radium Hot Springs, B.C.

  The fire was discovered just after 2 p.m. Monday and has grown to 70 hectares in size. The BC Wildfire Service believes it was started by lightning.
