As war in Ukraine puts energy security in the spotlight, Canada must answer hard questions about whether it can afford to tie its economic future to oil and gas.

Shareholder have voted overwhelmingly in favour of the oil and gas company moving its headquarters from Calgary to Denver and changing its name to Ovintiv.

The Calgary-based company didn't say which city would be its home base when it announced last week it would establish a ``corporate domicile'' in the United States to replace its longstanding home in Calgary.
