The 'incredibly rare' phenomenon was captured last week by overnight ground personnel working the Downton Lake fire, burning in the Gun Lake area north of Pemberton.

Evacuation alerts were also extended to areas north of Gun Lake, including Tyaughton Lake and the Tyax Resort, as the fire almost quadrupled in size since Monday.
