A new development is going up in Riverdale called The Umphreville Block. It's named after someone known as the Métis matriarch and ‘first lady’ of Fort Edmonton.

The little brickyard house, built in 1905 and nestled deep in Riverdale, was formally designated a municipal historic resource Tuesday.
