John Gerretsen, former Attorney General for Ontario and long-time Kingston politician, has tested positive for novel coronavirus.

Assunta Gerretsen, wife of former politician John Gerretsen and mother of current MP Mark Gerretsen, has been diagnosed with COVID-19.

The local public health unit in Trenton, Ont., has announced that a second case of COVID-19 has been confirmed at Canadian Forces Base Trenton.

The evacuees arriving from China will be separated from each other and from others on the base, although family units will be kept together, the government has said.
